Our Training ApproachWhen it comes to dog training, we prefer to employ positive reinforcement techniques rather than “traditional” training tactic. Through treats, praise, and rewards, we try to hammer home the training we instill in your dog. Not only will your dog learn how to heed commands much better but also you and your dog will be much happier for it.

Happy Dog Camp Our dog camp program is perfect for dog owners with busy, busy schedules and not enough time to devote to training your dog or for owners concerned about specific problem areas they don’t really know how to approach. The first step in this program is an in-depth behavioral assessment in which we can pinpoint what exactly your dog struggles with and we provide the right course of treatment. Afterwards, we arrange to have your dog dropped off with us to begin intensive, one-on-one training in a home-like environment. Depending on how intensive the training, we will board your dog from anywhere from a day to a week. While in our care, your dog will be another one of the family; they will receive the same love and attention they would ordinarily get in your own home while also learning new skills and behaviors to adapt in your own home. In working with you dog on his own time, we’re not just training your dog; we’re helping them grow into the companion we all know they are. Our new facility will be coming in January. The new facility will allow us to do even more with your dogs then before. The facility set up will still be based off a home like environment but with more play area to allow for more socialization. Through out the day your dog will be walked first thing in the morning then fed. After feeding the dogs will be allowed to socialized in groups while training takes place. Walks will continue as needed and then the dogs will reside in their own private crate and bed for the night. Socialization is always such a crucial part of training thats why we are so excited to have the new facilty.

Private Training We also offer private lessons in your home or in a public space of your choosing. Within the comfort of your own home, as well in the comfort of a dog’s own territory, you can get involved in your dog’s training. We will work with you on specific behavior issues your dog may be struggling with like hyperactivity, storm anxiety, or even introducing a new member into your family.
In using the environment your dog knows best, your dog will be able to focus better on the specific training at hand, rather than grow distracted at new sights and smells. With In-Home training, you and your dog can adapt learned skills as well as learn good socialization without the pressure that may come with working with other dogs in small group classes. Your dog can learn at the right pace, in the right place without you having to worry if your dog is being left behind.
In these private lessons, we can work on crate training. Crate training doesn’t have to be a form of punishment for your dog; with enough socialization and exercise, a crate can take on the form a sanctuary for you pet, a place to relax after a busy dog day. While a crate can be a dog’s sanctuary, it can offer you peace of mind, knowing that you perky pet isn’t getting into trouble around the house, tearing up the garbage bag or chewing on the furniture.
In addition to providing a safe place within your home for you dog, crate training will also relieve some of the hassles of traveling; crate and boarding training can help eliminate the anxiety and stresses some dogs may face when being separated from their owners for an extended period of time. You’ll have a safe voyage and a well-behaved dog!

Group Obedience Classes In addition to our Board and Train programs and private lessons, we offer two six-week group obedience training programs. In our Basic Obedience classes, your dog, along with 6 to 10 other dogs, will learn to socialize and learn basic behaviors such as sitting, staying, and laying down on command. Because each dog is unique, we strive for a general training program that complements every dog’s needs and spunky personality. In our Advanced Obedience classes, you dog will be working with a smaller group of other dogs in learning more specialized behaviors such as off-leash training techniques and commands like playing dead, fetching personal objects, or how to settle down. This training is perfect for when your dog is out socializing in the park or even in the comfort of your own home.

 | | | | Most people realize dogs and much more than just pets, they are family but for some people they can be life savers. Service dogs are dogs that help people with disabilities in every day life. We help to train these dogs to perform tasks for people with mobility impairments as well as Autism. Tasks can be anything from helping pick up dropped objects, bracing them when standing, finding objects, comfort while stimming, getting help, opening doors, and even encouraging the development of social skills.
Service dogs can really help change lives of people in need. If you or someone you know may benefit from a service dog please contact us and discuss the possibilities. If you would like to help donations are much needed. If you would like to sponsor an individual in need let us know.
